This two-day course is aimed at anaesthetists wishing to improve their skills in UGRA and comprises of didactic lectures covering all commonly used regional techniques, clinical and cadaveric anatomy demonstrations and practical hands-on workshops. Joint RA-UK/Dutch Association of Regional Anesthesia (DARA) Meeting

Joint meeting of the Dutch and British associations, organized by DARA. Preliminary program includes pediatric peripheral nerve blocks, pediatric plexus blocks, Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP) block, and lipid rescue of local anesthetic intoxication.

The course comprises of didactic lectures on the physics of ultrasound, ultrasound anatomy and regional anaesthesia techniques. The lectures and hands-on sessions will concentrate on the brachial plexus, upper and lower limb blocks.

The faculty comprises both adult and paediatric anaesthetists so whether you wish to discuss how to do a patient for shoulder arthroplasty or trcheooesophageal fistula there is someone with the appropriate experience..

5th Oxford Regional Anaesthesia Course
25 -26 March 2010 Venue: Oxford

This intensive 2-day course with enhanced half-day Cadaver workshop will cover modern regional anaesthesia equipment, drugs and techniques (landmarks and ultrasound) for principal peripheral nerve blocks for head and neck, trunk and limb surgery. It is run by the members of the Oxford Group of Regional Anaesthesia, with invited guest speakers from outside Oxford Region.
Venue: Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford (Medical Sciences Teaching Centre, University of Oxford Medical School for Cadaver workshop)
Registration fee: £225 before 31st January 2010 (£275 afterwards), payable by cheque to "Oxford Group of Regional Anaesthesia"; £25 discount to members of RA UK (www.ragbi.org) and/or ESRA (www.esraeurope.org ).
